The First Lady of the Republic, Rebecca Akufo-Addo on Saturday, 14 September 2024, was crowned the Woman of the Year at the 9th annual Ghana Women of the Year Honours.

For the past nine years, the scheme has highlighted womanhood’s untapped potential as well as outstanding examples of empowered women in a variety of fields.
Former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings was given the Lifetime Achievement Award for her immense contribution to women’s development.
